Family and friends are mourning after two young people were found murdered in a Northeast Albuquerque home.
Police are not saying anything about how they died or who may have killed them, or releasing any names.
Family members, however, are identifying the victims as Kirsten Landeau and her nephew, Dillon Cearfoss.
Friends told KOB Eyewitness News 4 that the day before the two were found dead, Landeau changed her Facebook relationship status to "single."
Landeau's brother, Eric Ward, said, that may have been a warning of what would happen next.
"A certain individual went into the house and murdered my sister and her nephew," Ward said.
Ward said he believes he knows who killed his sister and her nephew.
"They would do anything for anybody," Ward said. "She was always vibrant, full of life...Dillon loved life... and now they're both just taken away."
Landeau's ex-boyfriend used to live with them, Ward said.
But this past Monday night, the couple called it quits.
"He went on his way and I guess he came back and was vengeful and decided to take matters into his own hands," Ward said. "Anybody can just snap."
Police are not confirming the names of the victims or releasing any details as to how they were killed, but said officers believe this is an isolated incident.
Ward is now hoping for more answers and justice.
"The right thing needs to happen," Ward said. "Two innocent lives were taken away too young, for no apparent reason whatsoever."
Police have not named any possible suspects.
Landeau was a member of the humanitarian group called the "Duke City Darlins." A vigil is being held in her honor this Friday at 8:00 p.m. at Fox Memorial Park.
