Usually when summer starts to wind down and the weather cools off, so does the vacation planning.
Now, there is an internationally read magazine that is recommending Albuquerque as a destination for this fall.
Albuquerque's International Balloon Fiesta is where people are being told to go to this fall. National Geographic is calling the Duke City a top 10 international fall destination.
"Balloon Fiesta is one of the premier events in the entire world, so that's nice that we know that," said Albuquerque Mayor Richard Berry. "We all go and spend time with our family and friends there. It's great now that an international publication telling people around the world that you need to be in Albuquerque this fall."
With all those balloons, bosque and beauty, some feel that there is no need to head anywhere else if it's colors you want to see.
