The Democratic National Convention begins Tuesday night in Charlotte, North Carolina.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 asked South Carolina Congressman Tim Scott (R) what he thought President Barack Obama's main message will be.

"You have to ask for more time," Rep. Tim Scott said. "With unemployment over eight percent for three-and-a-half years, what he's done is not working as it relates to the debt and jobs and economy...he needs to say he needs more time."

Scott thinks both sides need more time to figure out what to do about taxes. He wants to see current rates stay where they are for at least another year.
