I will plan on making 4 (get it? 4!) picks each week, against the spread (JUST FOR FUN!). But since it's week number 1, we are doubling down right out of the gate.
Here's 8 NFL picks (4 favorites, 4 underdogs)
in no particular order
Indianapolis +10 at chicago (feeling LUCKy?)
Buffalo +3 at NY Jets (pre-season doesn't mean anything, but you have to get into the endzone)
New Orleans -7.5 vs Washington (RG3 will be good, but not this soon)
Tennessee +6 vs New England (Super Bowl hangover)
Houston -12.5 vs Miami (go Arian Foster!)
Detroit -7.5 vs St. Louis (I NEVER like St. Louis on the road)
Green Bay -5 vs San Francisco (Taking the Packers at home will generally win you games)
Pittsburgh +2 at Denver (the Steelers have waited all off-season for payback)
BONUS:
and just for kicks,
I'll take Savannah State +70.5 vs Florida State
(it's the largest spread in history)
