Some Four Corners students got the chance to listen to a unique motivational speaker on Wednesday.
Alvin Law was born with no arms.
“I've learned not only to use my feet but more importantly I've learned how to overcome those challenges that everybody faces every single day," Law said.
His mother took a prescription drug during her pregnancy which prevented him from growing arms. But he has never let it stop him from playing music - with his feet.
“Jazz band led into drums and drums led into piano," Law told KOB.
Fourteen-year-old Luc Schrock was one of the hundreds of students from Piedra Vista who heard his story.
“It was pretty amazing watching him do all the stuff that a lot of people couldn't even do with their hands," he said.
Law travels all over the world sharing his message. “I can prove to them that life can be very sweet indeed if you just put your mind to it."
While Wednesday’s event was for high school students--Law speaks to people of all ages because his message is for everyone.
“I think the most important thing to recognize is that in every part of our world there's struggles going on," he said.
And Piedra Vista students seem to be getting the message.
“You can overcome almost any life obstacle," said Luc.
