FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) - Services are planned for Friday for a Farmington attorney who died a week after crashing his motorcycle into the back of a car after suffering a medical issue.

The Farmington Daily Times reports family members made the decision to remove 55-year-old Ray Archambeau from life support on Monday.

Archambeau was severely injured when he ran into the back of a stopped car in Aztec on Sept. 4.

A police report says he was a diabetic and a low blood sugar episode caused him to crash.

Archambeau was a lawyer with the San Juan County Public Defender's office.

Chief Public Defender Christian Hatfield says he spent the majority of his adult life trying to help the people of San Juan County.
