5 new cases of West Nile virus reported in New Mexico

We have just learned about five more cases of West Nile virus in New Mexico.

State officials tell us the five new cases have been reported since the New Mexico Department of Health's last update on Tuesday.

The new cases include two in Bernalillo County, two in San Juan County and one in Dona Ana County.

West Nile is carried by mosquitoes.

Symptoms include fever, headaches, diarrhea and vomiting.
