Child arrested for bringing knife to school

A 12-year-old in Roswell was arrested for having a deadly weapon at school.
Roswell police said the Sierra Middle School student was arrested Thursday.
They said the boy was keeping the knife in his locker.
Police said the school resource officer searched the locker after getting a tip the student may have had weed in it.
The student said he brought the knife to school for protection.
