Fair safety top priority for officers

The fair is all about the rides, the games and the food, but safety is the top priority for the more than 50 officers from state and local police, along with a number of other agencies, mixed in with the crowds.

Officers told KOB Eyewitness News 4, as of Friday night, everything has been a smooth ride so far, but with so many people together in one place, safety and security is always a concern.

Officers also direct traffic on surrounding streets, in attempt to alleviate any tie-ups as fair-goers head home for the night.
