LOS ALAMOS, N.M. (AP) - Police say the driver of a tractor-trailer rig that was hauling road striping paint was injured when his truck tumbled about 200 feet down a mountainside near Los Alamos.

The driver, identified as 51-year-old Francisco Maes of Willard, was taken to a Santa Fe hospital Tuesday. His condition was not immediately known.

The 2,200-gallon cargo of paint was scattered in the forest before the tumbling wreckage was stopped by trees.

White paint covered the ground and a tree near the roadway, while yellow paint coated the ground and several trees down the hillside.

Road closures are expected over the next several days as equipment is brought in to remove the wreckage and clean up the paint.
