One national college football writer has the UNM football team playing in a bowl game this year. ESPN.com's Mark Schlabach projects the Lobos will play the Arizona Wildcats in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl in December.
The Lobos are 2-2 on the season and coming off a 27-14 road win at New Mexico State. The Lobos only won 1 game in each of the last three seasons. UNM would have to win four of their remaining 9 games to be bowl eligible.
I'll be the first to say this year's Lobo team IS better than those of the previous three years, but does Schlabach know something we don't?
