A Rio Arriba County Sheriff's deputy has resigned after crashing his cruiser again.

Police said Sgt. Anthony Armijo failed to yield to oncoming traffic in Española. After that crash, he resigned on Tuesday.

Armijo was suspended in May after being involved in another crash near Alcalde.

Authorities said Armijo was speeding on his way to a call when swerved off the road to avoid a pack of dogs and rolled the car.

A civilian was in the car for a ride along at the time.
