Earthquake strikes central NM

The United States Geological Survey reported an earthquake struck the just north of Belen Friday evening.

The agency said the quake hit the Belen-Los Lunas area around 7:00 p.m. Friday.

They say it was a magnitude 3.5 quake, which is considered weak.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 called Valencia County dispatch. They said a handful of people called in about the quake.

Even so, there are no reports of damage.
