Police tell us the pedestrian killed early Wednesday on Eubank near Lomas NE was a man in his late 60's.

Police declined to identify the man, saying his family has not yet been notified.

The male, adult driver whose vehicle hit the man has been booked on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

The driver, who police did not yet identify, is not facing charges yet in the pedestrian death because the investigation is still in preliminary stages.

Based on the early investigation, police said it appears the man who was hit was crossing the roadway without using the designated crosswalk at the intersection.

Eubank was closed for a time but is now back open.
