A group of firefighters made Wednesday a special day for one Albuquerque girl.
Firefighters from AFD met with Alicia Jacquez as part of the department's "Random Acts of Kindness" program.
Alicia, 12, was diagnosed with epilepsy when she was one year old. Since then she's suffered numerous seizures.
Thursday she'll be going through her third - and hopefully final - brain surgery.
"'I'm scared for the big one. It's a really big one. I'm hoping they'll show me my brain, but I doubt it," she said, smiling.
"Yeah, my dad had surgery and they gave him a piece of his back - so I want to see my brain."
Firefighters gave Alicia a basket of her favorite things and a tour of a fire station.
She recently cut off all her hair and then donated it to Locks of Love.
Her family is going through some financial struggles - so we've posted a link to the "Random Acts" website here, where you can help donate.
