Man surrenders to authorities after SWAT standoff on West Side

A SWAT situation on Albuquerque's West Side is over.

Anthony Quintana, 35, surrendered to Bernalillo County sheriff deputies Wednesday afternoon near Coors Boulevard and Sequoia.

Deputies went to arrest Quintana on several felony warrants around 2 p.m. He took off and barricaded himself inside a home.

Authorities kept neighbors out of the area and their homes until Quintana surrendered.

His warrants included robbery and kidnapping.
