A man accused of running over and killing a pedestrian will not be charged.

The accident happened in July near Princeton and Silver.

Police said Stephen Whitaker, who is an city bus driver and was off-duty at the time, was driving his pickup truck and had a medical episode, which caused him to jump the curb and hit 22-year-old William Nolan.

Nolan later died.

Witnesses reported that he was driving erratically before the crash. He agreed to take a blood and breath test at the scene.

The Second Judicial District Attorney's Office said because it was a medical episode, they will not charge Whitaker.
