New Mexico's biggest show is just around the corner, and all week Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta vendors have been getting their tents ready for the thousands of visitors who will make their way inside the park Saturday morning.

Many of the Fiesta's vendors were making last minute preparations Friday evening as they have to be up early Saturday morning.

"This looks like we have no idea what we are doing but this is our 27th year," vendor Jason Jones said. "The next thing we have to do is put everything up on the walls."

Jones sells the balloon-shaped hats that seem to be so popular each fiesta. It's a big job with thousands of demanding customers, and with the amount of work that goes into preparation it's easy to get stressed.

"I thought…wait a minute I get to sell crazy hats for a living," he said. "Life isn't so bad and the stress kind of goes away."

The City of Albuquerque has already began inspecting the food vendors tents looking for any health code violations.

Marcus Cassimus from Hello Deli says on one morning alone he'll sell over 115 gallons of coffee and in one day - about 3,000 burritos.

Some people couldn't wait to start buying up this years souvenirs, some of which go quick.

"I bought an official pin set," one woman said. "You gotta get that on the first day, they don't last very long."

The Fiesta vendors said they're as ready as they're going to be for all the visitors Saturday morning.

And while the balloons are spectacular - a cup of coffee, breakfast burritos, and some Fiesta souvenirs are worth looking forward to also.
