Firefighters across the country began National Fire Prevention Week Sunday.
The International Fire Marshals Association said the week is not a celebration, but rather a time to remind the public of how to prevent a fire.
The week was established back in 1922 on the 40th anniversary of the great Chicago fire that killed more than 250 people.
