A Four Corners community is raising money in October to help fight against breast cancer.

Many businesses in San Juan County have decorated their buildings to raise awareness for the “Get Pinked” campaign. All month long events will run throughout the county.

Proceeds go toward the Cathy Lincoln Memorial Cancer Fund to help local women, said the committee's co-chair Tonya Eckstein.

“It will pay for a mammogram for women who are underinsured or not insured. It will pay for chemo treatment, medicines that are expensive - and that's the best part," she said. "Businesses, schools and individuals can all get involved and the money stays right here."
