APD identifies motorcyclist killed in NE Heights on Monday

Albuquerque police have identified the motorcyclist killed Monday night in the Northeast Heights as Lukas Phipps, 30.
The crash that killed Phipps happened Monday night at 6:30 in the intersection of Spain and Tramway NE.
The crash involved two vehicles - a white Ford pickup truck being driven by Louis Weichman, 58, and a black Suzuki motorcycle driven by Phipps.
Although he was wearing a helment, Phipps was pronounced dead at the scene.
Weichman was not injured.
The investigation into the causes of this crash are ongoing.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
The case will be forwarded to the District Attorney for determination of charges.
