A balloon crash into a power line at Comanche and I-25 caused a brief power outage Wednesday, and at least two other balloons reported trouble landing.

APD and AFD responded to a balloon crash into a power line near Comanche and I-25 early Wednesday. That balloon, which crashed at Alexander and Carmony NE, was released from the line and no one was injured. About 2,200 customers were briefly without power.

Later Wednesday, a second balloon hit a light pole at San Mateo and Balloon Fiesta Park. Police said there were no injuries and no power lines were affected.

In Sandoval County, at 528 and Idalia, some people fell out of a gondola as a balloon was landing.
