There's an unofficial winner in the America's Challenge Gas Race

It looks like there's an unofficial winner in this year's America's Challenge Gas Race.
The American team of Cheri White and Mark Sullivan were the pilots flying Delta Goodie, the last balloon left up in the air Wednesday.
They traveled the farthest out of the five balloons in the race, flying 1,627 miles to Wilmington, N.C.
The America's Challenge race launched Sunday from the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
According to the Fiesta's web page on the race, the America's Challenge Gas Balloon Race was founded by the Balloon Fiesta in 1995 due to the vision and efforts of Sullivan, a former Balloon Fiesta president and recipient of the Montgolfier Diplome (one of ballooning's highest honors), who saw the need for America to be identified with the world's most prestigious ballooning sport.
The America’s Challenge Gas Balloon Race is modeled after the Coupe Aeronautique Gordon Bennett, but it differs from the older event in allowing balloons from all countries, without limits on the number of entries from each.
