UNM head coach Bob Davie said Sunday quarterback B.R. Holbrook will miss practice for a couple days after hitting his head on the turf Saturday night at Air Force.

"B.R. came in today and saw the trainers," said Davie.  "He had some concussion symptoms.  It occurred with about 14 minutes left in the second quarter.  He got sacked, similar to Cole's (Gautsche).  His head went back on the turf."

Davie said Holbrook didn't let him know before halftime about the severity of the hit to the head.  "At halftime he felt nausiated and a little dizzy and the doctors decided to hold him out."

Backup quarterback Quinton Mccown replaced Holbrook in the second half.

Holbrook completed 5-of-10 passes with one interception in the 28-23 loss to the Falcons.

The Lobos will host Fresno State on Saturday.
