The UNM men's basketball team won a share of the regular season title and the conference tourney championship last season - but they're not the preseason favorite.
The Mountain West Conference released their pre-season basketball poll.
The coaches and the media think UNM will be the third best team in the league - San Diego is the pre-season favorite.
Head coach Steve Alford tells KOB that pre-season predictions don't guarantee outcomes.
