Midnight fire burns near Taos

Pre-evacuation orders are in place for campers near Taos.

The Midnight fire is burning about 50 acres near Ortiz Peak in the Carson National Forest.

Officials say the fire is extremely active. Resources are currently on the scene, with more air and ground support on the way.

Campers in the Valle Vidal, McCrystal and Cimmaron campgrounds are on pre-evacuation notice.
