Some people aren't what they seem

Sports Illustrated will name their Sportsman of the Year in December. They might want to be careful who they select.
Sportsmanship is generally referred to as someone's fair conduct and respect for an opponent. While Sports Illustrated has named many worthy sports figures as their Sportsman of the Year (see- John Wooden, David Robinson and Arthur Ashe), they've also given the award to some athletes whose character has been questionable both on and off the playing field.
In 1998, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa shared the honor. In 2000, Tiger Woods won the award based on his three major championships. In 2002, then 4-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong accepted the trophy. Going all the way back to 1986, Penn State's Joe Paterno was honored with the distinction of Sportsman of the Year.
While all of these athletes seemed a worthy selection at the time, history shows us that sometimes people aren't always what they appear to be.
