The Santa Fe County Sheriff apprehended a woman sought by police for information about a bloody incident last week in Santa Fe.

Rachel Smith, 21, was believed to be a passenger in a truck that hit a parked car on a Santa Fe street.

According to Santa Fe police, the owner of the car came out of his home and tried to stop the driver.

The driver is accused of cutting the homeowner's face with a knife. Police said the homeowner then pulled out a gun and shot the driver.

Both men were seriously injured.

Police put out the word that they wanted to talk to Smith because she may have important information regarding the case.

Sheriff's deputies found her Thursday night.

Smith is now being questioned by Santa Fe police, who say she is not under arrest or been charged with anything at this time.
