A woman led Santa Fe police on a high-speed chase after she allegedly shoplifted at a Walmart and decided to run.

Kimberly Calabaza, 21, took off from the Walmart off Cerrillos Road, hitting another vehicle in the process.

The chase was captured on an officer's dash cam video.

While heading down Cerrillos, an officer noticed a truck that matched the description of Calabaza's and signaled for her to stop. Instead, police said, she picked up the speed, cutting in and out of parking lots and going about 80 miles per hour down St. Francis and topping out at 110 miles per hour down I-25 South.

Police said spike strips blew out her front tires but even that did not stop her. Calabaza continued driving on the rims at about 100 miles per hour for a few more miles before the truck came to a rest.

Police said they found two other passengers, a loaded gun, three open containers of alcohol and a metal marijuana pipe.

And after failing a field sobriety test Calabaza was smacked with eight different charges, including aggravated driving while under the influence of liquor or drugs, aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, duty upon striking unattended vehicle, driving while license suspended or revoked, negligent use of a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages in open containers.

And the shoplifting charge that started it all was for less than $100 worth of clothes from Walmart, police said.
