Some good news and bad news out of the scrimmage held today at the Pit by the New Mexico Lobo mens basketball team.

First onto the good stuff.

The four guard set seems to be working well with Demetius Walker in the starting lineup. Teams will have to stay on their heels to keep up with these quick Lobos.

The bad news, center Alex Kirk sprained his ankle and had to sit for the remainder of practice.

Kirk sat out all of last year with back problems.

He appeared OK, and even walked out on the sidelines during the Lobo football later in the day.

New Mexico opens the season on Halloween night with an exhibition against Victory.
