It's official - and now some kids in Gallup are celebrating big news.

Jefferson Elementary School was just named the winner of a national contest - and the first prize is a makeover of the school.

Glidden Paint sponsored the Glidden Colorful Classrooms contest, in which people could vote online for their favorite schools to win the prize.

Jefferson dominated the voting after being named to the top five last week.

The school will now get 200 gallons of fresh paint - along with painters to help get the job done.
