Law officers arrested ten convicted sex offenders around the state as part of a Probation and Parole effort to keep and eye on sex criminals.

Officers checked on about 200 convicted sex offenders in the Albuquerque area Halloween night.

Corrections officials say six in the Albuquerque area were arrested, most for violating a 6 p.m. curfew.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 learned that some of those arrested have been convicted of rape, attempted rape and child molestation.

Corrections officials say one curfew violator who was arrested cut off his ankle monitoring device.
