ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - The University of New Mexico is holding a contest to see which student can take the ugliest photo on campus.

The Daily Lobo reports that the "Ugly Duckling Contest" is aimed at seeking input on campus spaces that need improvement.

Officials say the UNM Staff Council Environs Committee want contestants to send pictures of landscapes needing improvement along with suggestions.

Projects administrator Karen Wentworth says this was the first time students could contribute with suggestions from campus changes through the contest.

To enter, take a photo of your “ugly duckling” suggestion and email it to recycle@unm.edu. The deadline is Nov. 28, 2012.
