Phone service back on for McKinley, Cibola county residents

Century Link says phone service was restored to McKinley and Cibola County residents Thursday around 9:30 p.m.
The company told KOB that the outage was caused when a fiber optic line was cut west of Gallup on Thursday.
The outage affected phone and internet services across Cibola and McKinley counties.
Calls to 911 from landlines were not affected by the outage., but cell phone users were not able to call 911 in case of emergency.
