Deputies are searching for whoever killed 33-year-old Elizabeth Rodriguez.

She was found at the address of 203 1/2 Ranchitos NE off Edith in the North Valley Friday afternoon.

The Office of the Medical Investigator ruled Rodriguez's death as a homicide Friday night.

Originally, the case was being investigated as a suspicious death, but deputies treat suspicious deaths like homicides until more information is found.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office would not give out more information about if Rodriguez was found in her home, how she died or who found her.

The address where deputies said Rodriguez was found had a light on inside the home Saturday night, but no one answered the door, when we knocked.

The homicide has also made an impact on families who live in the neighborhood.

"Well, I used to walk my dogs but I don't walk down there no more. So I'll probalby take a different route, and alwasy watch my surroundings, more than I did prior to this," one neighbor said, who did not want to reveal his identity.

The sheriff's office said over the phone on Saturday that new information could come out on Sunday pending on where the department stands in the homicide investigation.
