The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta released figures Monday that showed the event drew about 23,000 fewer visits compared to last year. This year's attendance was 714,297 visits, down from last year's estimated 737,466 visits. Fiesta organizers said the decreased attendance was due to poor weather that caused the cancellation of flying events on the first Saturday morning, Thursday evening, Friday morning and Friday evening. Historically, those sessions are some of the most highly attended. Stay with KOB for more on this story in our evening newscasts.
