AZTEC, N.M. (AP) - A New Mexico woman has been sentenced to probation for stealing and spending $220,000 from her ex-husband.

The Farmington Daily Times reports that 52-year-old Rhonda Osborn was sentenced Monday after District Judge William Birdsall suspended her two nine-year prison sentences.

Osborne was convicted by a jury in May of two second-degree felonies for larceny and receiving stolen property.

According to court documents, in 2010 Osborne withdrew $220,000 from her ex-husband's bank account that still had her name on it.

The couple divorced in 1998. Osborne said she was sick and heavily medicated and spent all the money in 2010. Steven Murphy, Osborne's attorney, said she will try to pay back what she can.
