We have just learned that the two people detained after a SWAT situation in Belen near a school Friday may have some connection to a story we brought you Thursday about an armed robbery.

Sources tell KOB that the people detained Friday may have been involved in taking a lock box containing irreplaceable documents belonging to a Valencia County woman with two adopted children.

The search for the suspects briefly caused a lockdown at Belen's Rio Grande Elementary school.  It was lifted  just before noon Friday after the suspects were captured near the school.

The Belen Superintendent of Schools told KOB that the lockdown has been lifted and students are back in school.

Stay with KOB for updates on this story.
