Denise Jaramillo received some good news in a late night phone from the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies found a satin bag with her children’s adoption paperwork Friday night.

On Wednesday her home was burglarized. Thieves took the usual: jewelry, a television and a gaming console. They also left with a box that contained her children’s identities.

"Both of my children are adopted from Ukraine and one from China, and that box was missing," Jaramillo said a day after the robbery. "I think that was the moment when it became real."

Jaramillo said she picked up all of the documents from the sheriff’s office last night.

“Everything that should’ve been in there was there,” Jaramillo said.

Jeremy Hix was arrested last night and charged with aggravated assault, larceny and breaking and entering a residence, Valencia County Sheriff Louis Burkhart said.

Deputies are looking for Joshua Adams and a 15-year-old girl as suspects in the robbery.
