A chance of snow is barreling overnight toward the Albuquerque Metro as temperatures continue to drop toward freezing.

The Sandia foothills, West Mesa and areas south of town are expected to get up to 1.5 inches of snow.

The advisory is expected to last from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. and should completely dissipate by sunrise.

The snow will most likely accumulate on grass and vegetations leaving roads slick and dangerous. Drivers are advised to use extreme caution.
