An Albuquerque restaurant that just opened is already going to have to make some repairs.

That's because Albuquerque police say Gino Velasquez caused $1,500 worth of damage to the restaurant.

BJ's Brewhouse opened at Winrock about a week ago.

Police said the 32-year-old Velasquez and some friends got drunk at the restaurant Friday night. They were asked to leave.

That's when officers said Velasquez got out of control.

He's accused of turning over a table, kicking and punching the glass revolving door and damaging some wood planting pots in front of the business.

Velasquez is facing criminal damage charges.
