ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - An Albuquerque firefighter who was arrested on a drug charge earlier this month has been placed on administrative assignment and is the subject of an internal review to determine if he violated the fire department's policies.

The Albuquerque Journal reports that William Jarvis was booked Nov. 3 on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and attempt to commit a felony. Jarvis has since bonded out of jail.

It's unclear which drug Jarvis is allegedly to have had in his possession. A spokeswoman for the Rio Rancho Police Department could not immediately provide a copy of the police report Monday because of the Veterans Day holiday.
