NMSU holding 'listening sessions' on prez search

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - New Mexico State University's Board of Regents has scheduled a series of "listening sessions" to hear what the public wants in a new president.
KVIA-TV reports that regents held a session Thursday that attracted 50 people in the Stan Fulton Athletics Center.
Regents heard from people who had a wide variety of requests from improving campus diversity to working on more transparency.
Former NMSU President Barbara Couture abruptly stepped down last month following a mysteriously administrative leave.
The school's executive vice president and provost Wendy Wilkins also stepped down.
Board chairman Mike Cheney said regents hope to announce a new president before the end of the spring semester.
