All ballots cast in Sandoval County were recounted inside the Sandoval County Courthouse Friday.

The ballots, which arrived Friday evening under State Police guard, have been certified.

The outcome did not change any election results, however, KOB Eyewitness News 4 is told there may be an automatic recount because one of the races was very close. We're also told some candidates may ask for recounts.

Some provisional ballots had been placed in locked ballot boxes on election night by mistake instead of being placed in envelopes.

The county Republican Party chair said those votes hadn't been counted and candidates waited to see how many votes were inside - some wondered if those ballots would change the outcome of some races.

Vote canvassing is done after every election.
