Couple faces child abuse charges

An Albuquerque mother and her boyfriend are accused of brutally abusing a baby girl.
Family friends told KOB Eyewitness News 4 the toddler has died - she was taken off life-support Saturday morning.
Daniel Aragon and Shelby Lujan are facing child abuse charges, but the toddler's death could result in more charges against them.
Doctors said Lujan's daughter suffered a fractured skull, swelling and bleeding in the brain, along with bruising to the face, arms and stomach, according to the criminal complaint.
The two faced a judge Saturday. They claim the baby fell off the bed and was found on the floor unresponsive, but investigators said their story didn't add up.
They're each being held at the Bernalillo County jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
