The controversial coyote kill contest in New Mexico wrapped up Sunday.

Despite all the outrage from animal activists Gunhawk Firearms said no protestors went out at all over the weekend.

Gunhawk didn't have an exact number on how many coyotes were killed, but said they believe it was less than 50.

Hunters were barred from hunting on state and public land.

More than 100 teams signed up for the weekend long hunt.

The hunter who killed the most coyotes got to choose between an AR-15 or a 12-gauge shotgun as a prize.
