Bernalillo County man accused of molesting young girl

A Bernalillo County man faces charges after a seven-year-old girl came forward and said the man molested her in a mobile home park.
Deputies were called to 10014 2nd Street Monday. According to a criminal complaint, the seven-year-old said neighbor Chad Deignan called her over to see a puppy. The girl was with her eight-year-old friend.
The complaint indicated the seven-year-old said Deignan told her to touch his penis. The complaint said when the girl started to walk away, Deignan grabbed her from behind and started fondling her groin area. The complaint said Deignan let the girl go after the girl's brother called her in for dinner. Bernalillo County Sheriff's officials say Deignan then told the eight-year-old girl to "pinky swear" that she wouldn't tell anyone what happened. Officials said the girl then immediately told some parents.
The criminal complaint indicated that Deignan first denied having anyone in his yard, but later told investigators he hugged the seven-year-old and said he might have touched the girl's genitals.
Deignan's bond has been set at $75,000.
