BERNARDO, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say two brothers have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Los Lunas man whose body was found near a charred vehicle in Socorro County.

New Mexico Department of Public Safety officials say 43-year-old Joe Lawrence Gallegos and 36-year-old Andrew Gallegos were taken into custody Tuesday night by U.S. Marshals at an Albuquerque motel.

The brothers from Los Lunas have been turned over to State Police and booked into the Bernalillo County Detention Center.

Authorities say they're both being held on suspicion of an open count of first-degree murder, kidnapping, tampering with evidence, arson and conspiracy to commit a felony.

The body of 28-year-old Adrian Burns was found Nov. 12 by firefighters who were called to extinguish a burning car in a remote area along U.S. 60.
