Woman faces charges for shooting mother's boyfriend

Bernalillo County deputies say a woman shot her step-mother's boyfriend.
Starla Hunter is facing aggravated battery charges. The shooting happened in late October at a home in Carnuel.
Deputies say Hunter shot Felipe Padilla multiple times.
She accused him of beating her step-mom.
Padilla's family told deputies the woman would beat herself while on drugs. They said she would then claim Padilla hit her.
Padilla survived the shooting.
