Boy killed in SF crash is son of AFD union president

KOB Eyewitness News 4 has learned that a 13-year-old boy killed in a crash Wednesday was the son of Albuquerque firefighter union President Diego Arencon.
The crash occurred in Santa Fe County near the turnoff to White Rock. Deputies say 43-year-old Dennis Bernal veered into oncoming traffic.
He slammed head-on into a Honda killing Arecon's son.
A 13-year-old girl was also injured. She remains hospitalized.
The Albuquerque Fire Department sent a dispatch to firefighters asking for donations to help Arencon's family.
